Occasionally I tinker with Ableton and make music. I’m a noob. Sometimes it’s demoralizing to be a beginner, especially when you have perfectionist tendencies. 🙋🏼

And sometimes you just need to accept that you’re not good and know that it’s part of the process toward progress.

Inspired by Headache’s debut album, I created a spoken word track using the words from my friend David Spinks’ essay, Finding Enoughness. The message in his blog post resonated with me. Maybe it will for you, too.

The track is short and simple. It’s not good. But I figured I’d finally share something musical in public.

P.S. Shout out to Eleven Labs for the text-to-voice translation, which I modified heavily in Ableton. Porter Robinson fans might recognize my subtle h/t to the robotic voice in Worlds.

P.P.S. Also in the theme of gen AI, I created the album art using DALL-E 3.

P.P.P.S. I know music is a tar pit category, but someday I’d love to build something in the space.
